(2) I wanted to add my wife to my favourites in Cardhop, but when I did, the app forced me to have her work email address as the default contact option - I still can’t change this. In about 20 minutes of use I encountered the following problems: (1) Cardhop insisted that my nephew was a business so vehemently that I had to go into the Apple contacts app, delete the contact, add it back in there and then return to Cardhop (which obviously made me question the point of having Cardhop). When paying money for a UI app that only adds a certain amount of functionality to the stock free app, you expect it to be bulletproof (after all, the point is supposed to be all about being a slicker experience). However, there are some unfortunate problems. There is plenty to recommend about Cardhop - slick UI, natural language parsing of the quality you would expect from the makers of Fantastical, good performance speed and lots of customisation options. 6) Customisable business card lets you share your info quickly and easily. 4) Customisable quick action buttons let you quickly perform actions on contacts. 3) Powerful search and sorting using smart groups (when paired with the Mac version). 2) Interact with one-off phone numbers and email addresses not in your contacts list. Hi, here's a handful of features that Cardhop offers over the stock Contacts app: 1) Search, add, edit, and interact with your contacts using natural language. Doesn’t bring much in the way of extra functionality over the stock contacts app. Usually quite clued up with tech, still fail to see the significance of this app and it’s justification for its high ranking. The Birthday section is useful but I would like to see this change where other events (anniversaries) are also shown. I like the favourites section & the ability to quickly access the last performed action on that particular contact. Have continued to use this app since my initial review, have to say it’s growing on me & as such have awarded an additional 2 stars. Customizable quick actions are also available per contact, allowing for single-tap actionsĬardhop - the contacts app you’ll want to use.For example, you can add a subject to an email by entering “email Kent Lunch tomorrow?” and the email including the subject will instantly appear, ready to go!
